Hotel in Indore

Can anyone recommend a nicely located and comfortable hotel in Indore? i shall be visiting at the end of February/beginning of March 2007.

Indore is known for its hospitality. Sayaji Hotel, Fortune Landmark, President Planet and Hotel Shreemaya are the preferred names in the city.

I stayed in Hotel Kanchan, Kanchan Road in South Tukoganj (10 minutes by autorickshaw from the central busstation). Very clean, bright rooms with cable TV and attached batroom with hot water. 500 Rp for a double. The restaurant on the first floor is overprized; Better go to Guru Kripak Restaurant near the busstation.
A cheaper option is Hotel Neelam, at the end of the small alley left of the Ashok Hotel near the busstation (275 Rp).

I stayed in the Surya on Nath Mandir Road near the High Court. Same story as the Kanchan except the restaurant was good value.
