Hamidia Rd Bhopal
Hi
After visit to Bhopal wondering.... As live in a place called Hamadia - in Israel named after the Sultan el Hamid from the Ottman period was wondering the origin of name Hamidia Rd in Bhopal. Anybody have any info? Many Thanks |

Hmm... Wikipedia offers this, very vague. Could be a connection though, I guess. Could also just be a common name.

I've been googling and doon't see any connection. hamidia Rd in Bhopal is a very busy street, plenty of hotels and a very nice daily market to spend a couple of hours. Visit Bhopal, is a very interesting city with several impressive mosques and bazaars. Sanchi and Bhimbetka are not far from the city.

to #3 have been to bhopal, spent some days there,had a nice time, just trying to find about the name out of curiosity
