Festival in Orcha
I arrived in Orcha in the morning of Jan 3rd and on the way noticed many people walking towards the town. When I went into the centre later it was very busy and in front of the temple there was constant singing and chanting and the square was full of people - mainly women! People told me that it was "Pok", a festival which takes place every month (?). Does anyone know if this is true and how is the date calculated?
The atmosphere was absolutely fantastic and of course all those beautiful women there.... They left the city in the late afternoon literally by the truckload. So, does Ram do any special thing for women once a month?
