Road beyond Agra is good (on Agra - Kanpur route, Very good rather) Before Kanpur you need to turn right for Jhansi.

Other option is if you take the route via Gwalior, Jhansi and then towards Nagpur. In this part Agra->Gwalior is very good (starting approx. 10 Km after Agra) and Gwalior->Jhansi is just Okay

If you want to enjoy route, take Agra-Kanpur-Jhansi possibly including a halt at Kanpur, therafter you can proceed to Jhansi Nagpur.

You will perhaps take two halts starting from Delhi, if you would like to make it comfortable

Travel by road - Delhi to Nagpur

hello Mr Tondon

thanks for the response....cud u also let me know, if possible, the road condition from jhansi to nagpur......

i managed to get a route from www.mapmyindia.com, which is

Total around 900 km by following route

DELHI – AGRA 200 km NH 2

AGRA – GWALIOR 127km NH 3

GWALIOR – JHANSI 106km NH 75

JHANSI – NARSIMHAPUR 338km NH 26

Last leg (not on highway)
NARSIMHAPUR – HARRAI – AMARWARA – CHHINDWARA 125 km

what is ur opinion for this route in terms motorability....and options to stay at night.....

yes, i also feel i will have to take two halts in between one to make it comfortable and second that i will be with my wife and kid.....

warm rgds

Which two places would you suggest as pit stops?

Sorry for the delayed reply.

You can choose to stay at Jhansi and then at Sagar (considering that road passes via some forest areas which you should clear while it's daylight)

Although even as per map my india, the entire route is on NH, you should not expect very high quality road like express or 4 lane highways after Jhansi. The construction work is going on at many places - I am not too sure of present condition after Jhansi

Drive to Gwalior

Hello Ms Kajal

Sorry to reply late as I was away in this duration. You might have been to Gwalior in this period but just in case you did not or for other readers -

road route from Delhi is Delhi -> Agra -> Gwalior
Yes, you can go to Gwalior and come back in 3 days time.

Around Gwalior, if you can spend some time, Visit Scindia Palace, you may also go to Shivpuri or Orchha (via Jhansi) both places approx 100-120 Km away. Then beyond Orchha you can go to Barua Sagar (on Khajuraho route)
