bhopal hotels

a very specific hotel query:

does anyone have any suggestions for a bhopal hotel that is in the new city (ie, not hamidia road)....
that is preferably in shamla hills or near the new market...
that is not the MPTDC hotel...
and is not too expensive (ie, below rs 1500 a night)?

(anyone ever stay at the shimla palace hotel?)

of course, they also need to have c forms....

hi!

Your best bet in the range of Rs. 1500 might be Hotel Ranjit Lake View. Its location is beautiful ..right on the lake and is about 1.5 kms from shyamla hills. But i am not sure about the rate.
Other hotels in shyamla hills like Hotel Jehanuma , Hotel Lake View Ashok will be pricy....

Never heared of Hotel shimla palace...

thanks... it looks really nice, but it also looks like it is all the way out along that stretch where the museum of man, etc is. am i right? unfortunately, that's a little far from the center for me.

the hotel shimla palace is a modest little place on --- what is the name of that street? the same road as the bharat bhavan, but down closer to the insection with kamla park road. my friends used to live in an apartment building nearby, but i never took a close look.

i'm trying to stay close as possible to my friends (who have moved now, closer to new market) but if all else fails, i'll head back to the hotel classic in arera colony, where i've stayed before. nice enough place, and located right next to a market, a bus stop and a rickshaw stand.
