Bandavargh vs. Kanha for tigers

I am set to go to Bandavargh in January, but have been hearing a lot about Kanha. Where is our best chance of seeing a tiger? what makes these parks different from one another? thank you so much!

I was in Bandacgarh in December a couple of years back and everyone was seeing Tigers, we ourselves had seven very good sightings in one day. They tell me Khana is more grassland, so it's harder to see tigers it's also a fair bit bigger than the 64 square Kilometers of Bandavgarh!!

The chances of seeing a tiger in either place are 50/50.

Either you will, or you won't. It really comes down to luck more than anything.

Tiger spotting in India - best parks, your sightings please.

At Bandhavgarh, we also saw some wild dogs (a great experience) plus another truck saw some bears. Plenty to see even if you don't see a tiger (but of course we all want to see a tiger).

Well everyone was being lucky Kiwi Razz we were there for 5 days and everyone was seeing tigers. They are spotted by locals in the morning and the guides then know roughly where they are in the park and guide the jeep driver accordingly. From here an elephant will take you right up close!!

Our sightings were not during this circus but due to a wonderful guide and jeep driver who knew exactly where to look. Also in Bandavgarh there's a big population of tiger in a realtively small area so your chances of seeing a tiger are actually very good if you spend some time looking of course.
Even without a tiger sighting, the park is a wonderful place to drive around bird watching!

However your theory is a correct one!!
