Accomodation in Orchha & Khajuraho

Hi,

Will be leaving for Orchha & Khajuraho over the weekend. Would greatly appreciate some inputs on the following:

1. Have any of you stayed at Hotel Casa di William / Marble palace in khajuraho recently? Would you recommend them? Had pretty much zeroed in on casa di william based on the LP review until I read a terrible review for the place on trip advisor. What about Yogi lodge?

2. Will be spending a day at Orchha. Again any suggestion for accomodation? Looking at a budget/mid range place.

3. Are taxis/autos available as early as 5.30am from Jhansi station? How much would it roughly cost from Jhansi to khajuraho and Jhansi to Orchha?

Stayed a month ago at the Fort view guest house- 300 Rps mobile:09425342319 tel:07680-252701.First place on the left entering orchha, hot shower,place to sit outside with view of fort. foodwise found the food at center market the best was one not recomended by the lonley planet, it is in between the two that are recomended-cant remenber name.

If you go for mid-range, I would recommend Hotel Sheesh Mahal. Go for room no 4 (opposite the Maharaja Suite). Its brandnew and a real bargain at 1800 rps. Really fascinating to stay inside the palace complex. Magical views from rooftop all day. Lots of construction going on in the village, so not as charming as it may have been.
