| It might help you get a better reply if you could let us know which parts of south India you are wishing to visit? It's a very large area!

| I'd recommend you sleep in hotels and see things that interest you. Anything else you need to know? Sorry. Your question is a bit vague. If you can give some idea of your interests I'm sure you'll get some good tips. Last edited by Hal; Feb 11th, 2009 at 08:54.. |

| Know what you mean, it is all a bit daunting when faced with such a huge part of the country. This site is fantastic for detail, but not quite as useful in looking at the "big picture" when it comes to knowing where to start. You wanted links, here is one - Lonely Planet have some of their information online. Really, you need a guidebook though, the lonely planet or rough guide are very good sources of detailed information, but for inspiration as to where to go I suggest the photo packed DK Eyewitness Travel Guide.

| Zepige, you should browse the forums here (Tamilnadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala for a start), shortlist the places you want to go to and then come back with questions.
