Trivandrum accomodation

Hi,

I will be reaching Trivandrum on 1st November evening from UK and will be there for 10 days.Is there a safe decent place to stay. I would also like to meet up a good friend.

well...did you check hotels online? what's your budget for this

My budget is Rs 500 - 750/day

Is this too much then. I am not quite sure. I wanted a safe and a decent place to stay.I have heard all stories and doesn't want to end up in an ugly hotel hence this budget.

My guess is that this is about the upper end of 'budget'. In Chennai it would be guesthouse or small hotel and probably not AC.

I think we spent about 1500 a night when I was last there --- but were not at all happy with the hotel, so I won't mention it!

no, my point was that it's a little low...at least we generally avoid any hotel below 1000Rs, unless someone trusted advises otherwise. But then, there are exceptions, and it depends on the location also. Don't know about Trivandrum hotels, we stayed in a good hotel over there once, but it was much more expensive.
