to book ahead or not to book ahead?

Hi there,

My partner and I are flying into Delhi and would like to spend 10 days in Rajhastan...then fly down to Kerela for 3 weeks.

Is it worth us booking our trains and hotels fo rour time before we go? (We didn't want a strict itinery but I thought it might be worth booking ahead for the first few places.)

Many thanks,

Emily

With only 10 days to see Rajasthan and a flight to catch I would book ahead for the train journeys at least!!

For hotels well it would help if we knew when you were traveling, mostly you can just turn up or perhaps phone the night before, only around Christmas and New Year will the hotels need to be booked!!
