Sunshine Guest House Manali HP
Location About 1.5K's from centre of town on road to old Manali village
Phone Manali 52320 Rates 400 - 650 R's for double room Amenities 2 old style colonial buildings. One was a family home of one of the Bannons, an Irish family that settled here in Raj times. The Irish blood is now much diluted by inter-marriage with the locals and according to rumour, by alcohol. Beautiful situation, large rooms with fire places look over an apple and peach orchard and flower garden. Quiet setting. You can have breakfast on the verandah or balcony. Evening meals available but order in advance. We usually ate in town. Hot water in bathrooms, bucket if electricity is not working (some power cuts when we were last there). Likes/Dislikes Helpful staff and management. Good bird-watching. A little way from the centre of town but walkable or take scooter rickshaw. |
