staying in Banjara Hills
Hi everyone, just looking for advice,
in the next fortnight i'm travelling to india for 2 months and i will be staying in hyderabad for a month - I've learnt that Banjara Hills is a nice area to stay in. Can anyone advise whether I would be able to rent an apartment for a month as I dont really want to stay crammed up in a hotel room for a whole month, and also it will work out rather expensive...if this is not possible is there some hostel or another option I can stay in for a month - Ideally I would like to have a fridge, a/c , microwave and a cooker and dont want to be paying more than 15-20,000 INR Any advice would be greatly appreciated Thanks, SP |

Banjara Hills is an expensive neighborhood. I'd guess you need to double your price range to get a decent, furnished "service" apartment.

Hi andymell,
Thanks for your reply - In all honesty I can stretch out further but i was going through a guide from other sites ie salekha.com - My main concern is whether there is alternaitve accommodation to staying in a hotel, for a period of a month only |

To add to- and agree with- andymell's post, getting an apartment for a month will be very difficult, unless its a service apartment

Search for service apartments Hyderabad; there are quite a few. And haggle!!

i will probably go down the route of service apartments, would it be better to arrange this when i arrive or before ? ideally i would like to see where im planning on staying, however dont want to be left with no accommodation available ? In addition, are there any recommended sites other than tripadvisor and makemytrip.com ? Thanks in advance Sp |

getting an apartment for only a month would be difficult, i know few who have stayed as paying guests in Jubilee hills, why not try searching for paying guest in surrounding areas

I've looked at places that were about 40 - 50k but, the ones I really really liked were 1.5L a month in Banjara hills itself fully furnished with LCD TVs etc.
