room in Mumbai
hello !
i will stay in Mumbai during 5 months (august-december 2004) for an internship in a firm and i am looking for a room or roommates !
my firm is in nariman point so i look for a room not far from this place. Is it possible to find roommates in south Mumbai ? or are there accomodations for students ?

What is your budget?
Of all cities in India, Mumbai rents are terribly high. A typical paying guest accomodation (a single room in a shared acc. flat) in South Mumbai would set you back for at least rs 10,000 a month.
Same thing independent flat would be anything 15k onwards. Many ask for a deposit of 11 mths amount in addition to rent every month.
In Navi Mumbai, a 550 square foot flat would cost you rs 3500 per month .... quite comfy lodgings. You'd hafta commute 90 mins (one way) every day. Which area will you be going for work?
