rent apartment--upon arrival?
We're interested in renting an apartment for 3 weeks or a month in Delhi. We are hoping to arrange this once we get there. Is this realistic? Or is it better to try to arrange something in advance?
(We have somewhere to stay the first two nights.) Last edited by oregonkara : Sep 22nd, 2009 at 11:19. Reason: better question |

Finding a place for a month with 2 days' notice is impossible. The best you can do is go for a serviced apartment, which is very doable but costs a lot of money for what you'll get.
Or you could look online and try finding someone who sublets a place for the period which you require. There's a yahoo-group called Yuni-net on which such offers regularly appear or you can just look at online classifieds. Big warning: do not pay anything until you actually saw the apartment with your own eyes and make sure all conditions are clear.
