!

well archits, i'm only just getting over my grief at the loss ov the tourist camp & just begining to look for an alternative. thought here would be a good place to start.
i suppose that paharganj/new dehli station are easy enough to find /get taxi to with my limited kowledge of dehli.

i was kidding about karolbagh...since you are coming from australia, why not land in chennai ? easier place for a getaway.

and yes, as an adventure try out some of the other hotels in delhi . ask igtt@vsnl.com i.e. gerlinde - she runs a travel agency in delhi.

i do not know much about delhi myself , but am sure there will be other options - yes, here is one , i believe that delhi has two or three ymca's . good places i heard.

cheers

actually

cant spend all that cash going to india w/out going home first to see me mam, i'd feel too guilty; so we'll be flying in from london to dehli.
so gerlinde runs a travel agency! shame she's leaving. that explains abit more why she feels the way she does- i suppose she would be right on the frontline.

After Alan's review I decided to check this place out.

I think it's okay and a good value for the price. I (as a single) am paying 250 with hot shower, color tv, and a good view. One of the things I do like about this hotel, is that it's away from the main bazaar and nice and quiet.

I actually have windows (with a view) that I can open and not be drowned out by the noise pollution. Which is rare in this area.

Plus like Alan said the staff is real helpful and the rooftop area is a real good plus to relax and just have some coffee.

Also the beds have a top sheet and are soft and comfy. Very important.
