quiet place in Thiruvananthapuram
I'm going to be in Thiruvananthapuram in July and I'm looking for a quiet place to stay for a few days. Don't need bare bones, but not interested in 5 star either. I'm mostly interested in having a good night's sleep-not always easy to do in India, I know.

I stayed at the Hotel Regency in Trivandrum in January for a couple of nights:
Hotel Regency Manjalikulam Cross Road, Thampanoor, Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum) 695001 Phone, India: (0471) 233 0377 / 1541 / 1631 Phone, Intl: +91 471 233 0377 / 1541 / 1631 Website: www.hotelregency.com The place is sort of out of the middle of town, but not far off the MG road. Some of the rooms overlook a cricket square. The staff are friendly enough, and the restaurant is quiet and quite dim! It's neither the cheapest nor the most expensive, but a good bet with clean, comfortable rooms w/ Star TV and adequate shower / toilet facilities. |

Do you have to be in the city? The coast is very near.
