| Pushkar Fair any suggestions I know it is a bit late in the day for this year but has anyone any suggestions for somewhere to stay in Pushkar during the Fair. We have a tent booked but think we might like a couple of nights in town as well. Mid range budget or what passes for mid range during the festivities. Any Ideas anyone? Sue |

| If you are staying in one of the tents at the RTDC Tourist Village you will be at the edge of town and the fair grounds, a short walk will get you to the center town. Those tents get hot inside during the day and even at night it can still be quite warm! Some of the other tent villages that I saw were sometimes well over a mile from town and the fair grounds. For booking tents or huts at the RTDC Village you can save some money by booking directly through them. I copied and pasted their info below from an email they sent to me, maybe it will help someone who is still looking for a place to stay there. One more thing, the prices they gave me for a DLX Tent, or DLX hut were Rs 1000 a day until the last 3 days where it goes up to Rs 5000 a day. Most of the camels have gone before the last 3 days and so will I at those prices! Rajasthan Tourism Dev. Corpn. Ltd. (A Govt. of Rajasthan Undertaking) Reg.Off.
