Prince Polonia
-Location (city/area)-
New Delhi, Paharganj area. Off of main bazaar. To find this place go to the opposite side of the bazaar from the railway station, near the end of the bazaar is a road named Rajguru Road, make a right (Hotal Star View should be on the left). Make the first right turn after that (Imperial Cinema is on the corner)and go down a dead end street. On the left at the end is the Prince Polonia -Phone/fax/email/website- phone 3511930 fax 3557646 -rates for rooms- between 935 and 1400 rupees -Amenities (hot shower, tv, etc)- Rooftop swimming pool (yes you read that right), restaurant, color tv, refrigerators in room, sofas, chairs, bathtubs, hot shower, large clean rooms. very helpful, and good room service. -Likes/Dislikes- Prince Polonia is pricey for the budget traveler, but you get what you pay for, and how!!! I stayed there for about seven days and personally thought it was the best hotel I had ever stayed in that area of Delhi. The large sofas were comfy, the hot bath was great....etc..etc.... If you have the extra money and want to treat yourself to some pampering I highly suggest this place. The only downfall is that the Hotel has found it's way into the new LP travel guide, which is good or bad news depending on how you look at it. |

Prince Polonia Hotel, Paharganj, Delhi
-Location (city/area)-
Delhi, Paharganj -Phone/fax/email/website- Ph:+91113511930 -rates for rooms- Rs. 900/1100/1300- double deluxe/super deluxe/suites -Amenities (hot shower, tv, etc)- - AC -Hot shower at all times -TV with millions of channels - Roof top restaurant - Swimming pool -Likes/Dislikes- Likes: - AC. If arriving from a cold country and landing in sizzling hot Delhi, this is quite welcome - Paneer Tikka, naan & Limca while reading a book and watching hot Israeli girls taking a dip in the roof top swimming pool (don't bother calling me a pervert) - Friendly staff Dislikes: - Personally, I think Paharganj is too far out. Taxi driver & companion had no clue where the Hotel was and this was quite ennerving & discomforting at 2am in the night after a long haul when all I wanted was to crash in my bed. - Another disadvantage of this is that most of the shopping, sights and state tourism departments are located in Connaught Place for which you have to take rickshaws. If I was living in Connaught Place I could have simply walked. - For the AC & the roof top restaurant, I think Rs.900 was a bit too much. Summary: 2 out of 5 stars |

I merged this latest review with my old one.
I stayed there when they first opened, at that time there was no "hot Israeli girls taking a dip in the roof top swimming pool," however next time in Delhi I will definiately make this part of my consideration for choice of rooms. Mike |

Map
Though this doesn't help you now, it may help somebody else.
Below is a map I drew up on the fly for directions to Prince Polonia. I am not a cartographer and it shows. ![]() |

Prince Polonia
Prince Polonia is not a good hotel at all. Kindly don't go the facilties stated. One of my client from Belgium willingly went there and next day I had to get them shifted to other hotel. Swimming pool most of the time is dirty. Also rooms are not too cozy. At such a price you get hotels even in Karol Bagh which is much better than Paharganj area.
