Owner is highly respected amongst locals for his resourcefulness. He will arrange everything for you from taxis for your early mornning flight to Delhi to jeep safaris & treks to foreign exchange in crunch times.


-Likes/Dislikes-

I had a great time in Leh and part of it had to do with Padma Guest house. I took the double with attached bathrooms which put me back about Rs. 250 per night. Excellent value. You get a lovely garden with colourful flowers, a friendly staff, a nice rooftop restaurant, peaceful surrounding & fantastic views to the mountains surrounding Leh, including Stok Kangri.

Fort Road is an important street in that it connects to the Main Bazaar after just a 5-10 minute walk. That walk will see you venture in and out of souvenier shops, excellent restaurants and cybercafes. Its a self sufficient neighbourhood.

After a gruelling, though unforgettable 21 day trek through the Zanskar Valley that took me from Darcha to Lamayuru & necessiated me sleeping in my hardcore tent everynight, Padma Guesthouse proved to be a very comfortable refuge.
