Mysore: any interesting ideas for a budget room?

I am so thrilled with the ideas I have received for interesting old places in Delhi, Goa, and Kochi that I am going to try one more -- can anyone suggest a good place to stay -- old-world-charm, a bit faded is okay, definitely not the kind of thing that would have "Holiday Inn" stuck up on the front -- in Mysore? So far, the only one I have come up against is in Lonely Planet: the Ritz, which (apparently) has only four rooms (not many places for the ghosts to hide)!

All advice gratefully recived and swiftly acknowledged.

Hotel Indra Bhavan on Dhavanthri Road.
Paid 200 Rs for a double room.
Close to railways station (1/2 km) and Devaraja market. Short walk to the palace.
Many Tibetans and Laddahkis go to this place and the food is great.

Hotel Indra Bhavan
Dhanvantri Road,
Mysore – 570 001

Thanks, both of you, for those suggestions. I checked them and found each in the Lonely Planet "South India". They preferred (slightly) the Dasaprakash, but I must admit that Kailash35's description of the Indra Bavan is intriguing.

Does anybody have any further recommendations?
