Long term rental Goa
Long term rental Goa
Firstly Hello India Mikers!
I've been lurking for a couple of weeks and its a great site so I thought I'd finally join in.
I'm from London, aged 33 and currently in Jaisalmer with my family. (My partner and 4 year old daughter) Its my 5th visit to India and the rest of the family's 1st. We're here until the end of July '05. You never know I might even run into 1 or 2 of you.
Anyway, we're off to Goa in about a week and I'm looking for a place to rent for 1 month/6 weeks ish. I've heard Benaulim is a good bet, but wondered if anyone has any better suggestions and/or specific contacts. PM me if you don't want to advertise contacts here.
I don't want to stay in North Goa as I've been there often before and its not going to be the best place to chill out with a 4 year old. Neither do I want to stay ammongst resorts in Calangute etc. I've never been, so feel free to correct me, but I hear Palolem would be a good bet if a little gap year orientated but short on long term rental opportunities.
I'm also hoping to find an Indian style house with basic cooking facilities rather than a modern time share appartment. Maybe with a small garden. Sounds good doesn't it? If anyone can point me in the right direction I'll buy 'em a Kingfisher.
Thanks!
