Any suggestions for budget accomodations in Kumbakonam, Tamil Nadu? Will be staying 3 nights in Jan.

I looked at non-AC rooms in three hotels (Athityaa, ARK and Shiva International) during my recent sojourn in Kumbakonam. All fairly similar and reasonably decent (if you don't mind cockroaches). I ended up staying in the Athityaa, which has friendly staff and a good veg restaurant. Room tariffs for two bed AC and Non-AC rooms are Rs. 395 and 575, respectively
