Is Hotel Gautam Deluxe Delhi any good?????
Another IndiaMike member has kindly referred me to this hotel in Delhi. Has anyone stayed there? Is it OK? We are 2 adults and a 5 year old and our budget is about $50- $70 per night.

This is just to start the ball rolling, as I don't know the hotel at all. This is a VERY busy road, which will be a plus if you are looking for buses but maybe a minus if you are trying to get away from the noise and pollution. Karol Bagh is not the best area in Delhi by a long shot, but it's quieter and less insane than the area around New Delhi Station where all the cheapest hotels are -- and the hotels in Karol Bagh are almost as cheap. There are literally dozens of hotels in that area, although the ones I saw were mostly in the quieter side streets (I think Clark Inn was the most conspicuous of the bunch). If you have $AUD70 per night to spend, you should be able to get the best room in the best hotel in the area; our double, air-conditioned and with a frig (which, however, didn't work!) cost us $US15 a night.... but that was, I guess, a pretty basic hotel.
