Is Agonda still the same?...

Hello!
A couple of years ago I stayed at J J Fernandes' place ( beach huts)at the far right hand side of Agonda(when facing the sea). It used to be calm and quiet with very few huts around.

Any ideas if it's still like that? Or should I go discover another beach...

Cheers!

Agonda is still a relatively calm beach with a lot to offer as compared to other party beaches in Goa. I was there last November end and things were beginning to take shape. However, even today this gigantic beach is relatively less crowded and I won;t fear from calling Agonda; the best beach in Goa.

I stayed at the Agonda beach huts and they were veryyyy beautiful and near to the beach. I ate at Shekhar's but the quality os nowhere same to 2007-08, it has gone down significantly.

Hey AshRo, thanks for the tip. I checked out the Agonda beach huts link that you added. Looks quite nice although the huts seem a bit close together. It's not surprising though, as beach space is quite sought after!
I ate at Shekar's before too. It used to be called Madhu then, I think. Used to love the sizzler's there...
So, Agonda it is then. Should be there by mid march...

Thanks!

That's really lovely. Sitting at work and trying to squeeze some time for my passion (which is traveling), I always think of being in Goa.

Agonda huts are good and you can try bein there. Else you have Mahnamanas or Turtle Lounge. All these are good. These are double the price though that you would be paying for Agonda beach huts.

I wish I could go there as well......
