Indian Visit travel agency

Hello guys,

Next spring my wife and I want to go to India.
We've already booked our tickets, but we are still looking for a good local travel agency.
We've heard about INDIAN HOLIDAY PVT. LTD. (Earlier known as Trafford Tours & Travels) (www.indianvisit.com).

Has anybody of you ever traveled with this agency?
Is it a reliable agency?

We've booked hotels in Delhi with them for next April and they seem OK. We particularly wanted to stay at the Oberoi Maidens and were having difficulty reserving a room - they got one for us straight away. I rang the hotel to confirm the booking had been made and it had. They were a bit slow in sending the booking confirmation through but apart from that very helpful - will arrange airport pick up too, also car hire.

However, I did then find a hotel booking agency called nivalink who are super efficient and I've booked the other hotels through them. You can put your credit cards straight through to them (secure) and they're back to you straight away with the booking confirmation and replies to any queries. With India Holidays I had to send through photocopies of passport and credit card.

I did check out their internet site and they seem to be linked to the Indian equivalent of UK ABTA.

Pls be clever before travelling, there are many agents whoc sell fuck statements on web and on daily life.

so pls check all info..and then book the trip, if you are newcommer in India.

Get lonely planet book and go to the that agents which is mention on it, they are reconized by lonely planet.

According to my knowledge there are some few agents,such as garhwalhimalayanexploration, shikhartravel,stick travel,holiday moods etc..

for trekking and travelling in indian himalayas, log on the best website and travel agents reconized by lonely planet, www.garhwalhimalayas.in or www.thehimalayanadventures.com or www.gmvn.com Gov.running this agency or www.stictravel.com etc..

Just my parents has been made a travel in North India ( rajasthan & Varanasi)
They were really very happy with their travel but just I only know the name of that person who manage their travel his name was " RAJUINDIA" but I don't have his any contact information.
May be you can search this name on the net in yahoo or google.

Jaisalmer and Varanasi is very intresting to visit as they told me.

I used Beckon Tours in Delhi for a marvelous trip four years ago. Great price and perfect scheduling. They upgraded the hotels at a couple of stops for no extra charge. The driver of our private van was absolutely superb, considering the state of Indian roads in Rajasthan. They have a web page. www.beckontours.com I would use them again without hesitation.
