india transition hotel in delhi
hi - i'm arriving in Delhi for my first trip to india on march 18. i figured it would be a good idea to spend a couple of nights in delhi to get a little adjusted before beginning our travels...
so, i am looking for a good hotel suggestion - looking to spend up to $60USD, reasonably clean bathroom, good location for doing some exploring of old and new delhi... basically just a good place to get settled and get bearings.. thanks.

Welcome to Delhi. There are hotel suggestions in the respective forum.
Many travellers give Delhi a miss. There are lots & lots of things to see & do in Delhi. Shopping to eating..... monuments, forts, parks & shows... enjoy & have a good time.

Cheap Hotels May Have Dodgy Plumbing
This month I have stayed in five different Delhi hotels, the number arising from my moving around and also because middle range hotels have been fully booked.
I suggest that adapting to India is better done from a comfortable fully functioning hotel room eg with decent bed, reliable hot water and electric light, towels and toilet paper, maybe satellite TV. From present experience you will need to pay upward of R2,500 per night and then in a place with squalor on the street. I am now happy in the Main Bazaar strip paying R360 per night but I'm getting adapted.
