Hotels in Gaya and Dharamshala

Please help to identify moderate priced decent (Asking too much?) hotels in Bodh Gaya. Senior couple, need to stay for 3 to 4 days in March 2008.

Also please recommend Hotels in or near Dharamshala in March 2008. Party of 12 to 15 people. We will be travelling from Delhi by road. Half the people are NRI and the other half relatives in India.

In Dharamsala, there is a a Himachal Tourism hotel by the name Hotel Dhauladahar, which is located in market area of Kotwali Bazaar. Quite a good hotel. I have stayed there quite a few times. The best room is the Kangra Suite and the next one attatched to it is the Super Deluxe Room. Both the rooms are quite spacious with attached washrooms having western style toilets. The view from the balconies is quite amazing and is quite a peaceful hotel. I am not aware of the current room rates but you can visit the website www.himachaltourism.com where you can check the availability, the rates and you can even make the payments on line to reserve a room for yourself.

I am afraid I wont be able to help you out with Gaya since I have not been there myself.

Make certain you look at hotels in Bodh Gaya, not Gaya -- it's a pit of a town.
