Hi,
TTDC in kanyakumari is located right in front of the beach and as it is a government run hotel you cant except is to be very clean and neat but it is ok. The other alternatives are vivekananda ashram , not in front of the beach but clean and neat, hotel shivamurughan, madhnini, manichyam. |

Hi,
I think beach is accessable from the ashram. I have stayed in ttdc and hotel shivamurghan and compared to these 2 i will opt for shivamurughan but it is not in front of the beach. |

TTDC Hotel Tamilnadu in Madurai
We stayed there a couple of years ago, the one near the Meenakshiamman temple. The room was huge but tired and not neat as Kumar rightly points out, but a small tip to the houseboy ensured that he cleaned it again as soon as we checked in. The staff were helpful and friendly and it felt very safe. Food was nondescript but there are plenty of places close by where you can get something tastier. I thought it was excellent value for money, and walking distance from the temple. Kodaikanal TTDC I have not stayed there but Ive seen it, its a fair distance from the lake, but overlooks a valley. Once again, the off season rates are very reasonable and as I said earlier, it is safe and a small tip ensures cleanliness. In off season, you can get hotels at more convenient locations though.

Would agree with Snonymous. The same is the case with most TTDC hotels. The hotels are in the best available location, rooms are huge and spacious but cleaniless and food always remains a problem.
I would personally perfer to stay in TTDC hotels and have food some where else. A Rs 10/- or Rs 20/- note would ensure that the rooms are cleaned again by the houseboy as Snonymous pointed out earlier. |

Does anyone has the complete address of Hotel Taminadu (TTDC) Kanyakumari? I have tried to contact them at their contact no (04652246257) in ttdconline.com but no one picked. I mailed to ttdc but no reply. I am confused if I do the bookings then how I will reach there.
