| Need a place for 2-3 nights in Mysore. Have read very positive review of Ritz at mid-price range but they want pre-payment - they have only 4 rooms apparently. Anyone with experience of this place or a rec for another? |

| Hi Trawna, Last December I've stayed 3-4 nights in Hotel Sandesh the Prince. The hotel is very well situated and the rooms are really good, attached bath, AC, tv etc. The price was 1400 Rs. Suposse you can get the address in google. |

| Hotels in Mysore I've recently spent 10 days in Mysore. I had several dinners at the Ritz (at the back in the yard) - food is good. I wouldn't, however, be too keen to stay there. I had a look at the rooms (only four of them) and thought they were dirty-looking and seen better days. In fact the entire hotel is like that. I stayed at Hotel Siddhartha. Air/C rooms are comfortable (approx Rs.1300 per night) and rooms without a/c are OK (about Rs.750). I found the noise levels intolerable both at the front and back of this hotel. It fronts onto a very busy road , also roadworks going on. The din at the back of the hotel comes from the car park. There is also din inside the hotel with people running up and down corridors and slamming doors way into the night. I recommend the hotel Bombay Tiffany's, central near the market, not so noisy as not on main thoroughfare. Also has charm. Or the Lalitha Palace hotel (too expensive for me), or the Green HOtel (profits to charity), also expensive. |

| Lord of Kalinjar | I like to stay in srirangapatna when in that area, and avoid all the commotion of downtown Mysore
