Udaipur Hotel pre-charging?
Hi all,
tomorrow, I fly ... anyway, making last minute preparations for hotels and one I am staying at in Udaipur is loking for my credit card to reserve the room - this is contrary to what I read here on the forum and contrary to the other places I have book. Its "JAGAT NIWAS PALACE" - can anyone advise if they have pre-paid this hotel before and if its acceptable?Details: CONFIRMING THE BOOKING OF 01 DOUBLE PARTIAL LAKE VIEW DELUXE A/C ROOM FROM 19/22 SEP, 2008 ( 03 NIGHTS ) @ RS. 2450/- PLUS TAX 8 % PER NIGHT ( ROOM ONLY ). NOTE:- KINDLY RECONFIRM AND SEND US THE FOLLOWING DETAILS IMMEDIATELY AND AUTHORIZE US TO DEBIT RS. 2646/- FROM YOUR ACCOUNT AS AN ADVANCE FOR 01st NIGHT. TO HOLD THE BOOKING ON DEFINITE BASIS. ( a ) CARD HOLDERS NAME – ( b ) CARD NO – ( c ) EXPIRY DATE OF CARD – ( d ) NAME OF THE BANK – ( e ) VISA OR MASTERS ONLY – many thanks! Allen. Last edited by aonindy : Sep 11th, 2008 at 02:03. |

Rather than emailing your credit card details, which is an incredibly risky thing to do, I suggest you telephone them and ask to speak to the manager - and read him your details over the phone.
Oh, and you might want to edit or remove their email address, it's up to them whether they publish it on the net but it is not the done thing to post other people's email addresses and subject them to heaps of spam... Removed the email address from your quote of aonindy's post ![]() Last edited by Nick-H : Sep 11th, 2008 at 02:11. Reason: See Note |
