Hotel Listings Help
The Official Hotels Listing Help Thread What is the hotels section? The Hotels Section is a unique way for you to list the places that you have stayed at letting people know the ones that are good and the ones to avoid. Unlike other websites that just list the hotel, our section depends on you and your opinions. Yes we are lazy and we want you to do all the work for us ![]() The Hotels Section is open for members of this site, if you are not a member please Register. By registering this allows you to update you listing if prices change, phone numbers change, etc...etc.. Directions on how to add a review: The reviews consist of a two part system, first you ADD THE HOTEL and then you ADD A REVIEW of it. Think of it like Amazon.com and the way items are listed. The item is listed with details and others and yourself can post comments or rate it. To Start- Please do a search to find if the hotel you are going to add is already listed. If it is please just add a review of it or comments but not a new listing. ![]() If you are the owner of a hotel and you find your hotel/guesthouse listed by someone else you may add it again and the review and we will merge the listings together. Look for the Add a Review link on the top right to begin your addition to the section. ![]() Follow the form step by step, each area is self explanatory. First choose a category. ![]() Then fill in the details.... ![]() After you have listed the hotel/guesthouse it will show up automatically and then add the review of the hotel/guesthouse. The review is your opinion of the listing you just added. After the initial review is added others may add comments and also rate the listing. ![]() If you would like to add photos at a later time and you are the author of the listing, you may use the edit button located in the listing to add images at a later time. That's all, pretty simple to add one eh! ![]() Please tell others, the success of this depends on you. Please if you see prices/phone numbers/addresses etc that are out of date please post it in the quick reply and we will adjust the listing to reflect the changes. NOTE FOR OWNERS At no time will anyone representing this site (staff) will ask for a "free stay" or "discounts". Please be wary of any individuals that make this claim. If someone representing this site is planning on visiting your hotel you will be provided a photo of that person from the administrator to help identify that person. Travel agencies representing groups of hotels are discouraged and may be removed if deemed necessary. HELP MY LISTING HAS BEEN REMOVED We may remove listings if - -information submitted was not complete -phone numbers lead to travel agencies -misrepresentation or misleading information. Please note- To place a call to India from overseas you will need to Dial the extension from your country to place an international call + Country Code + City Code + Local Number. India's country code is 91 followed by the city code followed by the number. |

Mike - great information on how to use Hotel Listings. Are you going to attach it to the Hotel Listings Forum, or keep it somewhere prominent in the forum so that newcomers can find it easily?

Hotel Listings - breaking text into paragraphs
Just submitted my first two hotel reviews and noticed that my paragraphs were removed. The text runs-on without paragraphs, which makes it difficult to read when the entry is lengthy. Can I re-instate paragraphs to make reading easier?

I too have a question about the hotel listings. I noticed today that 'Willsy' has added several hotel reviews. When I went to the Kerala section, it was very difficult to find Willsy's reviews, without clicking on every hotel which had a review to try to find his/hers. Is there something I am doing wrong?
