Hi Manimenon
This hotel is situated about 200mtrs from New Delhi Railway station.
I haven't stayed in it but it looks good.

Try hotel Balaji Delux or Hotel Ajanta in Paharganj with in walkable distance from New Delhi Rly Station behind Shila Cinama. They may not be 3-4 star but good for family stay.

@Manimenon, are you planning to visit only Rajasthan or some other place also? There could be alternate routes so that you could skip coming to Delhi 3 different times.
Kedar Janani Devasthan, Mt Abu - Udaipur, Bharatpur, Agra, Gwalior, Orchha, Jhansi

I've stayed at Hotel Le Roi and can recommend. 4 star hotel at 2 star prices in my opinion. Next time however I'm staying at Metropolis - they've done their rooms up and look amazing!

Hi, Manimenon
You could also check the Ginger Rail Yatri Niwas. This is right next to the New Delhi Station at the Ajmeri Gate side. This is a Ginger property, the 3 star hotel chain of Taj group of hotels. The bookings are also processed through the IRCTC website that one uses for booking rail tickets online. However since this is much sought after, there is always a shortage of rooms. Also, IRCTC only has a limited no. of rooms in its quota. In case you do not find rooms with IRCTC, you can try booking directly with the hotel.
Hope u have a nice trip!!!

You can stay at various 3 star hotels near Nehru Station for Rs3,500 inclusive of taxes on a bed and breakfast basis. Whilst the rack rates may be Rs6,000, you can negotiate to Rs3,500
