Hotel Holiday Home or Dalziel ?, Which hotel and itinerary suggestions

Both look good to me. Has anyone stayed or visited both places who can suggest which is better. The cost difference is a few hundred rupees which does not bother me too much.

I am getting the 5:30 Kalka to Shimla train and need a place for one night.

Then I plan to move on to somewhere else (weather permitting, I am travelling 17July onwards)). Anyone got any suggestions for other places that can be easily accessed from Shimla (ie a few buses go to the place each day) especially if the place escapes the monsoon rains.

My original plan was Shimla (1 night), Chail (2 nights) then maybe Kasauli for a few nights.
