| Hotel Gold Regency-New Delhi Hotel Gold Regency Located on the Main Bazaar in New Delhi across from the main train station. Tel : +91-11-3540101 Fax : +91-11-3540202 and online reservations at reservations Room Rates 950 to 2100. Tv, hot shower, email, disco, restaurant, beer, and more. Comments---The Gold Regency is a one stop hotel providing almost anything you need. The restaurant is good (a little pricey), has live music nightly. The email cafe is also good as their are a ton of computers, and the there is also a disco, which is a little tiny stage with a couple lights and mirrors. The rooms I found however where a little tomb like and highly overpriced for what you got. I stayed there one night and found the service in the hotel section less than satifactory. I expected more from the rooms for that price than what I got. Update Dec 2, 2001 Presently there is no live music at the Gold Regency, as India law proihibits live music in a "bar". This may change in the future though. The cyber cafe on the third floor is probably one of the best in the main bazaar, it's lightening fast and is only 10 rupees an hour. For those who drink, the present special is buy one beer or whiskey and get one free, this is available at all times the restaurant is open. Mike |
