| Hotel double occupancy I'm going to be staying at the Hilton Trident Udaipur in January and wanted to know how serious are hotels about the double occupancy rule We are a party of three and comfortable sharing a single room but the hotel tells us they don't have any room for more than 2 people and we would have to reserve another room. I would rather prefer to simply squeeze in the third person. |

| Most hotels, including five star hotels, will provide an additional bed for an additional charge. I have done this quite a few times. Seems to me they are trying to pull a fast one.

| It all depends on the hotel. Some hotels have strict rules regarding the number of people allowed to stay in a room. The smaller hotels tend to be more flexible. |

| I agree with captain. It depends the number of beds they provide in a single room. For ex: if therz 1 bed u can pay extra & get another one.But getting the 3rd bed might be a problem.I am assuming here 1bed per person.

| Yes, this hotel has a king bed in the room but there is carpeting throughout so I can always take a few bedsheets and sleep over on the floor. I have no probs doing that. There are 140 rooms in the hotel. I think I should be able to get away simply skipping in and if asked at the entrance, I can always say I'm just visiting the folks already staying in the hotel What do you guys think? |

| Find another hotel... We stayed in this hotel few years ago, and we didn't like the location-too isolated.. The next time we stayed at Jagat niwas palace hotel, and enjoyed it . i think there will no problem to get a triple room. |

| If the hotel management are being asses and you only have a short stay, don't tell them about the third person. |
