Hotel double occupancy

I'm going to be staying at the Hilton Trident Udaipur in January and wanted to know how serious are hotels about the double occupancy rule

We are a party of three and comfortable sharing a single room but the hotel tells us they don't have any room for more than 2 people and we would have to reserve another room. I would rather prefer to simply squeeze in the third person.

Most hotels, including five star hotels, will provide an additional bed for an additional charge. I have done this quite a few times.

Seems to me they are trying to pull a fast one.

It all depends on the hotel. Some hotels have strict rules regarding the number of people allowed to stay in a room. The smaller hotels tend to be more flexible.

I agree with captain. It depends the number of beds they provide in a single room. For ex: if therz 1 bed u can pay extra & get another one.But getting the 3rd bed might be a problem.I am assuming here 1bed per person.

Yes, this hotel has a king bed in the room but there is carpeting throughout so I can always take a few bedsheets and sleep over on the floor. I have no probs doing that.

There are 140 rooms in the hotel. I think I should be able to get away simply skipping in and if asked at the entrance, I can always say I'm just visiting the folks already staying in the hotel

What do you guys think?

Find another hotel...

We stayed in this hotel few years ago, and we didn't like the location-too isolated..
The next time we stayed at Jagat niwas palace hotel, and enjoyed it . i think there will no problem to get a triple room.

If the hotel management are being asses and you only have a short stay, don't tell them about the third person.
