Grand Godwin Hotel in Delhi

Daughter has booked deluxe room this hotel for our arrival night and last 2 nights of 8-day trip to India. Has anyone stayed there recently who can comment on the hotel? I'm pretty sure her choice was guided by LP.

Don't worry, your daughter has chosen well, IMHO an excellent introduction to Delhi, a good compromise between culture shock and the somewhat familiar, Its near the Station and within walking distance of Connaught Place (15 min) and Paraganj as well as being within a short auto or cycle rickshaw ride to the Old city. Just two points, you could avoid the chicken sausage at the buffet breakfast and in case a quarrelsome elderly Russian couple in the adjoining room leave their door open whilst reassessing their marriage etc. an understanding of the cruder parts of the Russian vocabulary could prove amusing
