 |  Good hotels in Varanasi and Amritsar? I am bringing my mother to India. It will be her first trip to this chaotic and different country and i want to make her stay here a good memory. almost the whole trip has been planned exept that we have not found a good enough hotels in varanasi and in amritsar (that is not fully booked). does anyone have any good recomendations? preferably somewhere alongside the ghats in varanasi and close to the golden temple in amritsar. price range up to 2000rs. thanks! |

| The Gurudwara in Amritsar has very good rooms in their guest house. These are available on a first come first serve basis. Hotel Astoria is a reasonably priced hotel. |
