Good hotel near Ranthambhore tiger park

If you're planning to look for a tiger at Ranthambhore you will need to stay at Sawai Mahodpore. There is a long road of hotels on the road to the park. I looked at a few. Tiger Safari Hotel is highly recommended. Rooms from 750 to 1,500 rupees. Good restaurant with fast service. Capable manager.

As for the park, looking for a tiger is like looking for a needle in a haystack. There are 400 tigers in 4,000 square km of park. Some people finally saw a tiger on their fourth visit to the park.

See a tiger in the wild - maybe. Is it worth the effort? You can see the tiger far more vividly in the zoo (albeit that the ethics of zookeeping might turn your stomach). Ask yourself before you go trekking off. For my part, I would say one visit to the park is worth it. Lots of nice deer even if you don't see a tiger.
