Goa for New Year

Am in two minds about heading to Goa for new year or remaining in Diu for the that time. If I do head to Goa it will properly be a just after Christmas. Can anyone give me any advice as to whether this is leaving it really tight or not, since sooo many people seem to be heading there already.

I've not checked, but I don't fancy your chances of getting a train reservation.

i was in goa for NYE last year, and will never again do that again. too many people and prices of almost everything double. many locals leave goa during this period.
