| Ganpati Guest House - Varanasi Anyone stayed here recently, it was reccommended to me by a dutch woman that I met recently but she was there years ago - wondering if a) it's still around and b) it's a nice place to visit. Cheers. |

| i stayed there february last year. having looked at their website i would have to say that unless they have done major renovations it is a bit misleading. the photos are very tight and not particularly revealing. it was very basic, but cheap. having said that, it was friendly, the food was good and the staff were really friendly. the downside - wafer thin mattresses, pretty basic bathroom-cum-toilets, and plywood partition walls between rooms. it is pretty close to the main ghat. and if you're really lucky the manager will shoot at the monkeys  |
