Finally Here

Just wanted to reassure everyone that is on the verge of departure that you will get through it. Just arrived in Mumbai 2 days ago and I spent yesterday (my first day) on my own wandering around Colaba.
I wanted to go ahead and reccomend Bentley's Hotel on Henry road. It was decent and cheap by Mumbai standards. 750 R. There were some mixed reviews about the place in the postings. It would be great if more members could post their recommendations as they went along. I know internet can be hard to access, but I see in the hotel reviews there can be big gaps between postings.
Anyways good food and coffee at Leopold's and if you get overwhelmed just take a few moments back at the hotel to regroup. Good luck again to all of those who are on the cusp of departure.

I've said that previously, but in the (almost) three months I've been here, I've lost count of the hotels I've stayed at. I've even fallen behind on my blog... and the longer I leave it, the harder it is to write because the special little moments kind of slip from your memory when you are trying to catch up on the last two weeks.

I will put in a few recommendations after I get home and get somewhere to live and a new iInternet connection installed.

IN THE MEANTIME:

A couple of the best places I've stayed were the Villa Anjuna (Anjuna, Goa), tand he Star Beach Resort (Colva, Goa).

Worst hotel was the Goa Woodlands Hotel in Margao. Room was infested with fleas, the mattress was hard as a rock and the pillow was a sandbag. The Hotel Saaj just along the road was much better.
