Cheap hostels or accommodation in New Delhi

Hi I am traveling to India in Oct alone and for the first time!I am looking for any advice on budget accommodation in probably the main bazaar ( but open for suggestion). I want to pre-book my first 2 wks before I leave so I can settle in as easy as possible. I am looking for somewhere as cheap as possible clean and where I can hopefully meet people.

Thankyou to any suggestions

Clare

I am staying at the Blue Triangle YWCA hostel in New Delhi. All the reviews say it is clean and respectable. I arrive September 30th

Hi, I have just had a look at this hostel. It is out of my budget range unfortunately. I am looking to spend around 250-300 rps a night. Thanks for your help though

Hi Clare, Have a look in the hotels section of the forum or use the search tool: you will find a few suggestions there already.

Maybe Smyle Inn could be a good start. They have a reliable airport pick up service too, which is very nice when you arrive in Delhi. You can find Smyle Inn in the hotels section and via their website http://www.smyleinn.com/.

Good luck & fun with your preparations!

Thanks Sanna, I have heard of Smyle Inn, seen some good and bad reviews! I suppose that will be the case everywhere! Have you heard of hotel RAK. I am reading a few things about them online now. Seems to be in my budget and no bad words as of yet!!!

I believe the Blue Triangle has dorms at very low prices -- when do you arrive in Delhi?
