Depends on what you consider as cheap and also on what area you want to host them in. There are a few places that are good in South Mumbai like Hotel New Bengal at Crawford Market near CST station for about Rs300 for a very small single room with common bathroom. If you want a double room with attached bath then it is about Rs750 (with a TV and telephone). Then there is Hotel Benazeer at Fort for about Rs1200 for an airconditioned double room with attached bath. Residency Hotel just next to it is much better but more expensive too at around Rs1750 to 2200. Then there is the YWCA International Center at Colaba for about Rs1750 for an airconditioned double room with attached bath. Hope this helps.
Cheers, Aadil.
