Carrowen Hostel?? Has anyone stayed there?

Hi,
Does anyone have any knowledge of Carrowen Hostel - sometimes refered to a Carrowen Bed and Breakfast on backpacker accommodation booking sites.
Is it OK? What about the area - they say it's near Nizamuddin Railway station.
Any comments appreciated.
Regards.

I'd be interested too!

any replies would be gratefully received. The place looks nice on the website but would like to hear from anyone who has stayed there. Any other suggestions for a nice clean stay (I'm travelling with my 10yr son)

thanks

We stayed there in late January/early February and really enjoyed the place. Service was great - had a lovely breakfast in the morning, and when our Indian dinner (elsewhere) caused a little heartburn for my fiance, room service quickly brought over some yogurt (dahi). We would go back again.

The blogger seems like a boring sod who has nothing interesting to say about India or traveling. Wouldn't rely on his account.

To clarify, our first night in India we stayed at the Ahuja Residency.
+ smooth airport pickup
+ Ms. Sonu, who was my online contact, was professional and quick to respond. She received our train tickets which we had booked online, so they were waiting for us when we arrived.
+ hot water, clean bathroom
- random room decor, sort of felt like a dorm room that was located on the ground floor just past the security/check in area.
- rather expensive room rate at Rs. 2598 for one night

We left the next morning to go to Agra, so we didn't get to check out their breakfast room.

When we returned to Delhi, our train from Agra stopped at Nizzamudin Station, so the Carrowen was conveniently located.
+ tasteful, pleasant decor
+ room had French doors that overlooked a garden
+ courteous staff
+ hot water, clean bathroom
+ We felt it was a better value compared to the Ahuja at Rs. 1800/night.
+ breakfast room on the 2nd floor was small but charming. The food was fine - a set meal (we didn't get to choose the items). It certainly wasn't awful
+ arranging transportation to the airport the next morning was very quick and easy - they called a taxi service for us
- further away from city center, but then we spent very little time in Delhi and only went to Connaught Circle for dinner.

We would have liked to spend more time in the area, but since our train from Agra was several hours delayed (no surprise there) that wasn't an option.
