| It probably depends on the hotel or guesthouse. I booked twice on-line with no problems. A few guesthouses didn't reply so I tried another one. When I arrived, if I wanted to book ahead I would just phone from the place I was in to book ahead. Phone calls are cheap when you arrive. |

| Nothing new from me: When I'm in India, I call. Quicker, and cheap. Sometimes the hotel/guesthouse/whatever then asks me to email details to them. So if you are in India, call the hotel/guesthouse. (Calling does have its challenges such as ever changing telephone numbers, but that's the topic of another thread.) ![]() If you're not, and you have the time, email (or fill in the form), wait for a week or two, email again, or try another one - lots of hotels/guesthouses in Delhi/Varanasi. (I emailed three boarding houses a few days ago, and - no replies!) ![]()
