Question Binsar Hotel

Hi
I'm planning a 6 week trip in India next Jan-March - my first time in India! I like the info I've found about the Almora/Binsar area and can get accommodation at the Club Mahindra Binsar Valley Resort for a week. Has anyone stayed there? Is there enough to do for a week? What is the best way to get there? Do you have to go from Delhi?

Would appreciate your advice if you've been there.

Lot's of good mountain air and walking should easily keep you busy for a week.
I don't know the place you mentioned but perhaps it would be better to stay at Almora or up on the ridge between Binsar and Almora. That way you get the best of both worlds.
Almora is a wonderful little Hill Station with one of the nicest baazars I've seen in India.

To get there you can train it To Haldwani or Kathgodem then its around three to four hours by bus /taxi

There is a KMVN lodge right inside the reserve forest in Binsar. For a truely romantic stay book the forest bungalow. The booking can be done at the office of the DFO(West) in Almora.

Binsar is a very very lonely place . Beside walking there is nothing to do . Binsar dont have electricity too. KMVN has solar power.

Jyotida is right. The Foerst Bunglow in Binsar is located in a lonely place in the middle of the forest. Advance booking is needed.
