Bentley's Hotel Mumbai

Some say it's great some advise to stay away from this hotel.

Has anyone stayed there recently?
Please share your views and opinions.

All I want from a hotel is a clean room. I can put up with the rest.

I stayed there in 2004. It was fine. Why should you avoid Bentley's?

I have read some reviews on tripadvisor and most of them said that hotel is dirty and staff unfriendly. Again for every person there is a different opinion.

I had a lovely, enormous room with big colonial furniture and a bath down the hall. It was clean. The place is really a collection of rooms in various apartment buildings across from the office. So one floor of the apartment building might be a suite of rooms for Bentley's with a hall bath. It's not a really a hotel in the usual sense of the word. There's no restaurant, and I can't remember if there is room service--which means the staff don't do much except hand off your keys and tell you the internet access is down in their little computer room. The place is great if you are looking for cheap, convenient, and don't need services.

It gets mixed review at best. Many rooms are quite large it is true. They do provide room service. However when we stayed there, this was perhaps 2003, there was a problem with both roaches and bedbugs there. Perhaps these issues no longer exist. The location is certainly good and they don't have carpet on the floor which is usually a good thing.

In 2004 we tried Harbour View, the prices will have changed probably.
