Beautiful hotel in Jaisalmer

I would like to recommend to fellow travelers in Rajisthan a wonderful hotel in Jaisalmer, the (name removed). Only 1 1/2 kms. from the chaos of what seems like hundreds of hotels and guesthouses, internet cafes, and touts in the fort, the (name removed) offers a beautiful, tranquil atmosphere, plus an exceptional view from a short distance of the magnificent fort. During sunset, the view is spectacular and at night when the fort is lit-up, it is a very romantic site. We are staying in one of the hotel's deluxe accomodations, a Bhurj (round tower structure, reminiscent of the 99 towers that surround the fort.) It is a typical characteristic structure that one sees in the desert villages. The hotel itself is made of the golden sandstone so prevalent in Jaisalmer and is very attractive. We found the management very accomodating and efficient and the entire staff (of which there are many) very helpful and attentive, without being intrusive. Both the grounds and the rooms are scrupulously clean and well attended to, as is the beautiful swimming pool, which is lit-up at night, along with the fort.
