Bangalore hotels with reliable airport pick up and drop off

I stayed at the Tricolor Hotel in Bangalore the final two days of our last trip, and it worked out okay. My main complaint is that the Tricolor is in a neighborhood that offers little one can easily walk to in the evening except for a decent restaurant next door. I may end up staying at the Tricolor for both ends of my Aug/Sept trip, but I'm hoping that somebody here has a better suggestion.

What I'm looking for: Price-less than 2,000. Arranges or provides reliable airport pick up and drop off. Good choice of restaurants and shops in the neighborhood. WiFi, either free or reasonably priced. Good travel desk. And offering cell phone rental would be a giant plus.

Any help on this will be appreciated.

I think the tri color hotel is in Majestic area, if so my suggeston is to avoid that area.

Try staying in BTM/Koramangla area. you will get descent hotels at Rs 1000.
And for airport pickup drop use Airlift cabs. you can book them online. service is good and fare is also reasonable.

I went to the Airlift site (http://www.airliftonline.com/) and discovered how to get a ~300 Rs shuttle into town.

I'm still working on the details of my Aug/Sept trip, and now know not to book a hotel in the Majestic district if I intend to remain in Bangalore for more than a day or two.

Yes, I've checked Trip Advisor. But IXIGO ( http://www.ixigo.com/) has worked better for me than Trip Advisor (http://www.tripadvisor.com/), mainly because IXIGO seems to include more of the less expensive hotels.

Anyway, when it comes to hotels and other travel stuff, I'd much rather have a recommendation from someone I've met in person or here on IndiaMike than from unknowns, perhaps for business reasons, adding reviews to commercial sites like IXIGO and Trip Advisor.

So, my essential question still remains, does anyone have recommendations for Bangalore hotels under 2,000 with reliable airport pick up and drop off? After seventeen hours in the air and another eight in airport terminals, it would be nice to be met by a driver.
