hi

been to dehli and spent only one night of the proposed week i was to stay.

left only because of the rip off hotels!
their star rating is pathetic. a 4 star in india is a o star here in south africa. and then they ask for ridiculous rip off rates on top of that, and that too after being ripped off by the taxi driver who drove us around for 3 hrs til 2am!!! never agian. india sucks and is ripping tourist with hotel prices and conditions.

I am a "regular" at the Smyle Inn and stayed there in January this year, and March last year. Look up my comment in the hotels-section.

It is a no frills place, good if you are looking for a place to get a few hours rest or park your luggage in a room. Don't expect anything fancy. The staff is okay, no hassle basically and their airport pick up is usually reliable (they are always there, but they might wait outside, whereas you are inside..)

The bathrooms are reasonable clean, though very small. Nothing fancy. The breakfast is filling, but again nothing fancy. So if you need a night near the Delhi railway station to catch an early train, Smyle Inn is a good option. Make sure żou don't take the room on the ground floor next to the reception: very noisy all night due to people checking in and early morning due to the school outside the window.
